In the 2012/2013, Dalibor Bagaric choose to open a new chapter, moving to Lebanon. He practiced during the pre-season for Al Riyadi Beirut and then he was one of the main protagonists of the prestigious victory in the Hariri International Cup, helping the team Champion of Asia to beat in the final for 68-61 Ess Mabrouck Tunis, Champion of Africa, holding the trophy. In the tournament, Al Riyadi was undefeated with 4-0 and Dalibor performed a great effort (10 points and 8 rebounds in the final, 8.7 more 5.2 on the average). More, he immediately became an idol for the Lebanese fans, as well as he and his family really appreciated the place. And when two months later, at the beginning of December, he was called from an other club of Lebanon, Amchit, he did not hesitate to accept the offer and go back to Asia. And he started his new experience at the best, averaging 11.2 rebounds per game for 9.0 points in the first 9 games (with two double-doubles of 14+16 rebounds and 16+15 between points and rebounds), before being stopped by a foot injury at half of February, but he should be ready to recover in a couple of weeks.
Previously, Dalibor Bagaric started the 2011/2012 season in the ACB, Spain, with CB Blancos de Rueda Valladolid, deciding to leave after 4 games (5.0 points and 3.7 rebounds in 13 minutes each) using a contract option and move to KK Cedevita Zagreb, in Croatia, where he played the rest of the season with four different competitions. Starting from the Eurocup, with 2 games at 3.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 10 minutes each, continuing with the Adriatic ABA League - 17 games, with 4.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in 8 minutes of average - reaching the Final Four of Tel Aviv, where Cedevita defeated Partizan in semifinal but lost to Maccabi in the latest act, and ending with the Croatian A1 League, in which Dalibor averaged 5.8 points more 4.0 rebounds and 6.5 of evaluation in 10 minutes per game along 12 appearances, with Cedevita arriving until the finals, losing against Cibona. But at the half of February, Cedevita had already won the Croatian National Cup, beating Split in semifinal and Zagreb CO in the final (respectibely 8 and 4 points for Dalibor).
The solid 2011/2012 season played by Dalibor perfectly reflected the great restart he made in the 2010/2011, in which at the age of 30 he demonstrated to be one of the more experienced and tough centers along Europe: firstly he decided to come back to Dubrava Zagreb, the team in which he made his first impressive steps as a professional basketball player, and then the team in which he convinced the Chicago Bulls to draft him after a sensational "double-double" season. Dalibor played the first 5 games with KK Dubrava performing great highlights - 13.6 points per game with 11.6 rebounds - to be called from BC Maroussi in Greece. He decided to go, and continue to play a sensational season, maybe one of the best of all his career, showing to have reached the top level of maturation, experience and charisma, increasing more than ever his impact on the game: he continued the season at his best level, scoring 12.2 points per game with 8.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 19.0 of ranking in 26 minutes per game, and increasing his numbers in the Playoffs to 13.7 points (65.0% from 2pt) and 21.0 of ranking, winning the title of MVP of the Greek Championship!
So, the Croatian center - born in Munich (Germany) on July 2nd, 1980, 217 cm for 130 kg - showed to be the powerful, solid player al always, with very good skills and a tremendous physical impact on the game, who accumulated a very deep experience in the European competitions and reached a complete maturation. Coming back to the beginning of his career, all happened in Croatia, where he grew up on the basketball court with the youth teams of Karlovac, and in 1997/1998 he entered the senior team of KK Dubrava Zagreb, then played the following season with Cibona Zagreb winning the Croatian National Championship and Cup (6.8 points and 4.9 rebounds of average). Finally he came back to Dubrava “exploding” his stats to 18.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He also became a member of the Croatian National Team, winning a silver medal at the 1998 U-18 European Championship and a bronze medal at the 1999 U-19 World Championship, and playing the 2005 European Championship with the Senior Team.
Selected by the Chicago Bulls at the NBA Drafts 2000 with the n. 24 pick overall, he signed a three year contract, making a great experience over the numbers (3.7 points and 3.2 rebounds on his second year). He came back to Europe in 2003/2004 signed by Olympiakos Piraeus, then in 2004/2005 he was signed by the GM of Fortitudo Bologna Zoran Savic, winning the Italian Championship and Supercup, playing two very positive seasons and scoring 9.5 points and 5.3 rebounds in 19 games in the Euroleague 2005/2006. In 2006/2007 he moved to Spain, playing with Girona in 2006/2007 and winning the FIBA EuroCup, then he came back to Fortitudo Bologna for two more seasons, between 2007 and 2009, trying to help the team despite of the financial troubles of the club. His next step was another come back, to Croatia for the 2009/2010 season, but once more the team season was conditioned by the financial troubles of the club. So last summer he decided to restart once more, and he perfectly did it.
