The dream of making the threepeat didn't become true. After winning the Copa del Rey for two consecutive years, Xavi Pascual's Regal FC Barcelona lost the Final 2012. Against Real Madrid, with the large final score of 74-91, but the "blau-grana" team tried to recover for all the game. It was a game made of intensity, aggressiveness and of a very high level, more than it could appear looking at the final distance between the two teams. In truth, Regal FC Barcelona showed just little pieces of its incredible potential, but most of all Real Madrid practically played a perfect game, shooting with fantastic percentages (62% from 2pt, 45% from 3pt and 89% from ft, versus the "normal" numbers of Barça, 42%, 35%, 80%), led by the point-guard Sergio Llull (23 points and 5 assists), followed by the shooting guard Jaycee Carroll (22). Xavi Pascual had 19 points by Boniface Ndong - and Barça also won the fight at rebounds for 32-29 - but didn't find the best game on the perimeter, in particular by his point-guards. And now both the two teams will have to come back focusing as soon as possible on the Top 16 of Euroleague, and very probably they will have to front each other again in the Playoffs of the ACB League. The season is still very long...
