ABA, MAČVAN immediately to the top!
Immediately to the top! Writing his new career-highs both for points scored, 29, and for rebounds grabbed, 12, Milan Mačvan made his debut in the second round of the Adriatic ABA League with Partizan Belgrade, leading the team to a 94-85 home win against Zagreb CO. He was simply fantastic, scoring 19 points out of 29 just in the first half to kill the game (56-41), then continuing to push Partizan ahead in the second half until the victory. His shooting performace was unbelievable: 8/10 from 2pt, 2/3 from the arc and 7/7 from the line! And he added 9 defensive and 3 offensive rebounds, more 1 assist and 1 steal for a total of 38 in the personal ranking all along 33', starting on court from the tip off. For sure, he was immediately named "MVP of Round 14" by ABA League. Partizan - without Acie Law anymore, after his decision to go back to the USA, and of course without Nikola Pekovic since the end of the NBA lock out - had also the contribution by Marko Čakarević even if he was asked by coach Jovanovic to be on the court just for 5'30", in which he scored 3 points (1/1 from the arc) and grabbed 2 assists with 1 steal. Partizan Belgrade is always at 3rd place in the ABA League ranking, now with a record of 10-4, following the 1st placed Maccabi Tel Aviv (14-1) and the 2nd placed Cedevita Zagreb (11-3), who lost on the court of Buducnost Podgorica for 81-64, with Dalibor Bagarić playing 8'15", scoring 3 points with 3/4 from the line of free throws more 1 rebound.
