PAPADOPOULOS, 6 weeks out
As already announced in the flash news of Sunday, the center of Olympiacos Piraeus Lazaros Papadopoulos went under surgery. Suffering since few weeks of problems to his left knee, he underwent arthroscopic surgery and will miss six weeks of action. Three days after scoring 12 points in the 86-61 win over Bennet Cantù that put Olympiacos in the Top 16, both the club and the player decided together to immediately have the operation, hoping to make him come back in time for the beginning of the Top 16. Lazaros Papadopoulos was averaging 6.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists, the most by a center in the competition. Papadopoulos is one of the few players who has been both a Euroleague champion, with Panathinaikos in 2002, and a Eurocup champion, with Dynamo Moscow in 2006.
