AGUSTÍ CUESTA ALDAVERT was born on July 3rd 1958, married to Antònia Maria and father to Marc (21) and Aina (18). He mastered Spanish basketball as player, coach and agent. At 17 he debuted in the first league for the historical Círculo Católico, where he played until 1987, then Taugrés Vitoria and Oviedo. After retiring, he was appointed by FC Barcelona as the coach of youth teams: 1 Minibasket, 2 Cadet and 2 Junior Spanish Championships won in 5 years and 12 Cataluñan. He was assistant coach at Barҫa in 1994/95 and 2004/05, and head coach in 1995/96 of CB Cornellà. He was the protagonist of Pau Gasol’s transfer to FC Barcelona and the creator of Juan Carlos Navarro’s nickname “La Bomba”. In 2007 he joined the Prisma Gestión agency, moving on to join INVICTUS Sports Group as Area Director.
